Had a lovely stay in this comfortable cottage, despite the weather. We enjoyed trips to Ullapool , Lochinvar, Knockan Crag and various beaches which were enjoyed by Bryan and Nell our two collies

Spotlessly Clean!

What a wonderful week in this lovely cottage! This is such a beautiful place and the wind blew away all our cobwebs. We cycled everywhere, swam at achnahaird (Twice!) climbed stac pollaidh, had the most tranquil sunset at Achinver beach (but sadly no Otters! Plenty of stags on the way home) and to cap it all, our last night had shooting stars and the Northern Lights! The people here were universally lovely, in the shop, in the Fisk Gallery and Emily making coffee down on badentarbet pier. The house was the perfect base. The rayburn kept us snug and we all slept like babies. Thank you so much and we hope to see you again here!(Ps. The place was spotless, so thanks to Rachel!)

Walks and Wildlife

So happy we decided to come for 2 weeks, 1 would not of been enough! We have had such a fabulous time, the environment is stunning, so much to see and do right on the doorstep. The book “Walkers Guide to Coigach and Assynt” was essential reading because many of he walks are not marked on the os maps of the area. We particularly enjoyed the posties path and were treated to sightings of a pod of porpoises and a white tailed sea eagle. We actually bought our own copy from the Fisk Gallery for future visits. We have loved staying at The Loan with everything we needed for a homely stay and our mini schnauzer moss has loved exploring the garden. He was so happy just sitting outside sniffing the air for all the new and fascinating local smells. Thank you so much we have had the best holiday

Did Someone Say Dolphins?

Had a lovely stay despite the weather mainly because the cottage is so well equipped. We visited Lochinver, the pie shop (its amazing and a must- well worth the drive) Achmelvich beach is spectacu;ar and the sun even came out for us. Our 2 dogs loved the beaches and the sheep surprisingly! Old Dornie is worth a visit to see the seals and maybe if you are lucky enough a dolphin or two!
