The Loan

Our cottage has space for 4 guests and offers the following facilities:

Inviting sitting room with open fire;
Cosy study;
Sunny living room with French doors;
Dine-in kitchen with the usual equipment (including a Rayburn oven, gas hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge freezer);
Shower and toilet downstairs;
A double bedroom upstairs;
A twin bedroom upstairs;
A spacious bathroom with bath upstairs;
TV & DVD player in the sitting room and reliable Wifi throughout the house;
Large garden & plenty of parking space.

We will supply you with bed linen, towels and some basic cleaning materials to ease you into holiday mode.

Location, location, location

While the setting of the house feels wonderfully remote, the cottage is very accessible. It is on the edge of the village, next door to Achiltibuie Stores, which stocks a good selection of basic groceries, fresh locally caught seafood and household necessities.

Achiltibuie is home to the renowned Summer Isles hotel, which can be booked for dinner and Altandhu (6 miles from Achiltibuie) offers the Am Fuaran pub with real ales and classic pub food.

The FISK gallery has locally made pottery and other art & crafts to browse and buy. Fresh fish, scallops and prawns can be bought from local fishermen.

Ullapool is a beautiful 45min drive away, taking in glorious mountains and lochs. This harbour village has a good selection of shops (including a pharmacy, bookshop and a good supermarket) and it also has some great places for coffees, lunches or dinner.

There are boat trips to see birds and wildlife from the pier, leaving from Badentarbet (Coigach) and Ullapool.
